The management team and all members of Melbourne Angels, would like to congratulate Jordan Green and Jim Liaskos on being awarded as Members of the Order of Australia ( AM ) in this year’s Australia Day honours awards.We were all delighted to hear of these awards to Melbourne Angels members. 

Jordan’s recognition is for his tireless work in the Australian startup community and not least a part of this work was the founding of Melbourne Angels in 2006. People who have met and interacted with Jordan will acknowledge and recognise his many years of service, passionate advocacy, tireless and unswerving efforts in supporting the startup community here in Melbourne. His works have touched a broad community and it’s lovely to see that community, in turn, award and thank him.

Jim’s efforts in supporting startups and the wider business community are like Jordan’s, one of the unsung local heroes. Because of his modest and self-effacing approach to his work and his contributions, Jim hasn’t attracted much attention to himself, but those he’s interacted with completely understand the worth and dimension of his imparted knowledge and help. It is wonderful that Jim’s impact and selfless contributions have been recognised and rewarded.

Well done Jordan and Jim! We are proud to have you as part of our community and thank you for you service to Melbourne Angels and the wider Victorian startup ecosystem
